West Cork Irish Singlemalt Glengarrif Series aged in casks with charred Bog Oak

Susa and I went to a Whiskey Dinner at Sláinte Oakland, a pub located at Jack London Square in Oakland, CA. Along with a very good dinner, we got to sample 6 whiskeys from West Cork Distilleries. The last one was a singlemalt aged in oak casks that had been charred by burning bog oak inside the barrels to char them. Very good! Somewhat like Laphroaig with a bit less smoke and a bit more sweetness.36554223_10156160408443855_3343856692495384576_n.jpg
