2017 North Texas Irish Festival

Great pictures and an awesome tent display. Amazing how many Scots turned out for an Irish fair. I know many Scots have Irish roots both before and after as I explain in the tent. Were they invited as part of the festival?

Yes the North Texas Irish Festival sets aside room for about 20 clan tents and have signs outside the building calling it the Scottish Village.

Like I tell folks 2 of my closest DNA matches are Lamonts, one lives in the US and is a cousin to the other one that lives in Ireland.

I hosted the tent at Sherman last weekend and then Easter weekend I will be at Scarborough Fair at a joint clan tent.

I am working on the paperwork tonight for the festival in Wichita, KS April 21st - 23rd

I had no idea there is a tent a Scarby! I have not been yet, one of my friends is a belly dancer there every year. What days will you be there?

we will be there Easter weekend April 15th and 16th. there will be 7 or 8 clans sharing 2 tents.

we will be setup outside that gate someplace.

you can visit with us and not have to pay to get into the fair unless you want to go on in. that is one of the reasons why we are outside the gate

I was planning to go in, I have never been. And it is something to do with the kids, wear them out. My 9 year old is really into history and our genology ect. so I think he would be over the moon about it.

He would love it then, there are a lot of medieval costumes and folks talk like old english
