Hello one and all here I am back again due to various things going on in my life I have been absent for some time.

First of all I would like to say thank you to all of you in North America a sincere thanks for the many expressions of sympathy I received on the death of my dear husband Jim.

The annual clan gathering 2015 will take place over the weekend of August 22nd-23rd ( this is the weekend before the Cowal games in Dunoon.)  It will held in Portavadie marina with an exciting programme of events. Accommodation is available at the marina at various rates and can be booked at marina www.portavadie.com less expensive accommodation can be found locally or in Dunoon.

PROGRAMME

Saturday AGM> Lunch> whisky tasting> or local tour to Mount Stuart House in Rothesay> or for the energetic a walk to Ascog castle with picnic. In the evening> dinner followed by Scottish ceilidh.

Sunday Church service at Kilfinnan church>tour of Lamont vault> lunch in village hall> wreath laying service at the memorial in Dunoon then farewells.

I take pleasure in announcing that George Young of clsna has been appointed Genealogist for the clan.

At present I am in Holland with our Dutch Lamont friends Carola and Henk then on 13th Nov. I travel to Australia for three months I shall be meeting with Damian the president of Australia and our chief. In May 2015 I travel to America and hope to meet up with as many of you as possible first I go to my god daughter in LA then to Ann-Marie Lamont in Oregan where George and David will be travelling to meet up, I am free to travel elsewhere if anyone wants to meet up ....still to finalize arrangements.

Meantime I wish you all a happy Christmas and prosperous new year I will be in contact during my travels.

Mary, I read your informative post with interest. (My very belated condolences on the death of your husband.)

Would you happen to know if either John or Anne Dougall are still alive? We used to exchange Christmas cards with them for several years and I've a feeling that one or both of them may have passed away by now. Thanks for whatever news you can share concerning them.

Hello Jill

I can confirm that Anne and John Dougal are very much alive John is now 98 years young...our oldest member and very active Anne at 86 also still with lovely black hair looking like a 50 year old they are both up town every day I see them often.

They moved house a few years ago I can give you their address if you contact me privately.

Best wishes from
