If you can't get the CD for tent materials let one of us know. I got some a while ago to have some available as a back up. Can't be to prepared as you know.
That is the History Book of Clan Lamont that is available through the Scots Shoppe. Did you get it in hard copy or reproduction? I was talking about a CD made by the Clan and Ogden Lamont that has the graphics, pictures and lots of written material that is used in the tent. Interesting articles on how to wear the kilt, short and long articles on the Clan, etc. The book you have is very interesting but a difficult thing to digest for non historians.
Tom what I got was a CD with a BIG PDF file on it. the author is Hector McKechnie and it was done in about 1938. it is a bit hard to read, I have to have Google open to go find the meanings to words
There is a printed copy that the Scot Shoppe used to carry. I have found it in soft copy at games in two volumes. As I mentioned it can be a sleeper to read even in hard copy. If you send me your snail mail address I can get the Tent Host CD to you. As I said it is a bit more interesting and much faster to read but it does not go into the great depth that you find in the book. It is not a copy of the book. There are short articles on it that go from proper wear of the kilt to the tragedy at Dunoon. If that is what you want send your address to my regular "e" mail address for security-LaCalif2@cs.com.
Steven asked at the very top of this thread about Pay Pal. Since we are going to "offering driven" activity in place of a volunteer having to maintain inventory, etc, we are working on a procedure to use if you wish to use Pay Pal for the things George is coming out with. As Treasurer, I can generate an invoice from Pay Pal to your account and you can simply pay it that way. We will continue t have Pay Pal on the Join Page for new members and generic type donations. I think because we will be offering things at different times and for differing lengths, etc, the invoice method can work. I would simply inform whomever is offering the items (usually the Sr. VP) that the item has been paid via Pay Pal and we can minimize mailings, etc.
Input to this procedure is most welcome at clsnatreasurer at gmail.com.
Frank. Did we ever solve the member badge discussion? As I remember the company went under and a new one was going to make badges but for a lot more money. I currently am working with a local guy who is making badges with a magnetic back (no more holes in your shirt). I am waiting for a sample and cost.
Our badges did not go up as much as everyone thought they might. Our single badge is 11.75 to CLSNA. If a member wishes to purchase additional badges, they are 12.69 per badge, shipping and handling included.
Please send me the specifics and we'll be able to review it ... I all for saving funds. Are these badges engraved? That is the one thing I really like about them as the ones where the letters are on a flat surface often fade away. But then, if they are half the price, folks can get a replacement at a very reasonable price.

I would love a copy of the CD with all the information if you still have one.
There is a link to a source that sells a digital, PDF copy of the book for $3.99. They also have a lot of out of print PDF copies of many genealogy and family history books available.

Amanda. The book is an actual written history is is quite in depth. The CD has materials that a tent host uses and does contain some word documents concerning the Lamonts and Scots in general.
