Well,I dont have a lot of information to begin with,my grandfather,Harry Wayne Lamb Sr,always told me when I was little we we're Scottish.....and I didnt pay a bit of attention.Someone on Facebook, found the Name 'Thomas Lamb"a.  And passed it on to me,Most of my kin are from Pennsylvania,The date they gave me was in the 1600's.I dont know where to begin, where to start,I ust found some information that "Lamb's" are part of the "Lamont" family.Excuse me for being dense, just not sure where to begin. Thanks!

The best way to start is to gather all of the information you can and dates associated with your family.  If you have the names of your grandfather's siblings, add those to your list.

Try using www.rootsweb.com and see if you can locate any family information for your grandfather's generation.  If you have the names of your great grandparents and their siblings that would be a great help. You may try to find Thomas Lamb in Pennsylvania on Rootsweb.

Give Rootsweb a try and let us know what you find.

Julie:

Do you know where in Pennsylvania. My Lamb ancestors came to Western Pennsylvania (Cambria and Sommerset and Westmoreland counties) from Southeastern Scotland.

Hi Julie Lamb
My ancestors are from Dundee and surrounding areas. We have some information of those who came to Australia and others who stayed or maybe they went to the USA or Canada.

all the best with your searching

Teena Lamb
