It is the last games of the season in Texas and also my anniversary....hmmm what to pick? My wife or throwing heavy things for fun and sleep in the couch for a year?
Will have to sit this one out this year.

It's probably the oldest Scottish event in Texas and has at least one thing going for it -- the weather! Much more comfortable for the woolen tartans. :)
I haven't been in years but I know the historic Inn fills up well in advance. We used to stay at a hotel or B&B in Belton -- the next town up the road. It's not a bad drive down to Salado from there, maybe 15 minutes?
Salado has a very historic and rather artsy feel to it and Clan Roberton rules the roost. Perhaps we'll see you there in November?

Sorry to hear you are going to miss this but you are probably making a wise choice
Thanks for the info Jill, I just called to make reservations and was told that they are made through the museum and they are closed today but will ring their bell tomorrow
If you make to this, the last games of the season in Texas, please take some photos and send me, at theweeharp@gmail.com, a short write up too. Thanks. (you can stress the LAST and, according to Jill, coolest games in TEXAS.) Thanks.
I'll do that frank. I am waiting on them to call me back about a reservation to the Stagecoach Inn for several weeks, guess I will rarrle their chains again tomorrow.
