My first meeting of Jim was online at a webforum called XmarktheScot, a kilt forum several years ago (I can't even remember). So it was our tartan that first brought us together.

Several of us gathered together our momentum to launch our current forum with an ultimate goal to revitalize CLSNA. Many phone calls and emails later we finally met in person in Atlanta at the CLSNA AGM at Stone Mtn Games.

I met both Jim and George at the same time.  Jim made the journey to the Stone Mountain Highland Games in Atlanta, GA to attend the AGM in 2008.  George, Jim and I had a very enjoyable lunch on the Friday preceeding the games. We had a great time at the games and the AGM. Over that weekend we shared a few wee drams. Jim was very dedicated to Clan Lamont.

In 2009 Jim and Sue attended a convention in Atlanta.  Sandy and I met Jim and Sue for lunch and had a great time. After lunch Jim and Sue toured the CNN facility in Atlanta.

He was a good friend , he will be missed

There is no faster way to get the mettle of a person than to misspell his name in a newsletter that goes around the world. Jim was such a gentleman in his way of informing me that there is only 1 "p" in his name ... I guess his humor and input to all we did had me thinking he was "Rappin'" with me!! I'll miss his knowledge, his love of his family and clan (in that order) and extend to Sue and the family our love and best wishes.
