This is actually two separate pieces of wood, ash and birch connected at the center with a piece of elk antler. It is 52 1/2 inches tall and has several zoomorphic images carved in the shank and a thistle in the handle. This is hopefully the first of many crook style taller sticks, as I am working my way to cromachs. Enjoy.

I am looking into building some jigs to try to start tinkering with steaming, but as of now these where purchased with the crook already "crooked" I am looking also at getting some horn to work with, with that I'll have to use heat. Thanks George.

Thanks Paul. I put this one up for auction with the proceeds going to help the Australian Flood Relief efforts. I plan on making another soon ( hopefully for me ) with a Ash top and a cherry bottom. I am going to try to go with the same theme ( zoomorphic / Pictish )
