Would like more definitive information as to how part of my lineage, the Lamonts/McPhadricks/Baron McPhadrick, came to be in the same lineage as my great grandfather, Henry Lamont of Gripton, and my great granduncle William Lamont (father: James Lamont).  Both brothers were among the major movers of the Clan Lamont Society formed at the end of the 19th century in a Glasgow Hotel.
