A while ago I got a chance to do some work with a straight razor maker. He walked me through the making of straights. I just finished up the two that I started with him.
The blades still need to go out to be sharpened. I don't have all the stones necessary to make it "shave ready" and no experience in using them if I did. In this case it is better to send them to a professional.
I've always been curious about getting an old fasioned shave with a straight razor, from a professional of course. Then I saw an old gangster movie where the barber...well let's just say I'm no longer courious. Still, as with all your work Jim, those are works of art. A few of us know a guy from and old forum who would drool over these.
Seriously, I think I'm going to try to find a barber (with a lot of experience) who still gives a shave with a straight razor. I'd like to see what the difference is.

I don't think that other fellow was ever really one of us.
Perhaps by blood or the ring, but never in spirit Jim.
Outstanding work, like Luckey I too was curious about having a shave with a streight edge. While attending Tech. College, I worked as a Nursing Assistant, and had the oppertunity to give an older gentleman a shave with a modern version of a streight edge and had been curious. One does have to be carfull with a streight edge.
Your work can be best admired in a showcase so all can view, had this took place about 100 years ago then it would be of practicality more than art, and your work is art. Thanks for the view of your work.
