Rhett,

Welcome to the forum, I am a descendant of the Kentucky/Virginia Patricks.

Can you tell me the area of Kentucky your Patricks hail from?

I have quite a bit of information on the Patrick's of Magoffin County, Ky and surrounding area.

Thank you Cousin Rhett,

I looks like you are dsecended from the group of Patrick's who migrated from the Magoffin County KY area to Warren County, Kentucky.  The major city in Warren County is Bowling Green, KY.  That will help you find it on the map.

I will have to look at the information I have at home, but just off of the top of my head I believe that you are related to David, James, Dennis, myself and the rest of the group here who are descended from one the three Patrick brothers who came to the US before the revolutionary war.  I'll take a look I think I can make the connection.

I know some of the others are going to be jealous, but we Patricks are becoming a mighty group.  The Patricks are taking Rhett to the Cowal Tavern to give him a proper welcome, we will try our very best to behave.

The Cowal Tavern is our virtual tavern on the forum, we can go there, put our feetup on the furniture if we want, have a wee dram and discuss any subject that strikes our fancy.

Contrary to what Luckey says, we haven't broken up any tables and chairs yet, we always take out the empty scotch bottles and wash the glasses and put them back on the shelves before we leave.

Now you do have to look out for the Lamont - Young's and the Turners.  That bunch can become quite rowdy.

Rhett,

You might start here, The line of Jeremiah Patrick and Sarah "Sallie" Blair is my line.

http://worldconnect.rootsweb.ancestry.com/cgi-bin/igm.cgi?surname=Patrick&given=Jeremiah

Also research the lines of the Jeremiah's brothers  Robert Patrick and Hugh Patrick, in my opinion most of the Patricks in the SE USA descend from one of these three brothers.  You can try various search combinations on Rootsweb.  Enter any names you have in your family tree into the rootsweb search engine.  The information is presented in various formats. The ahnentafel format has the most information.

I have looked for Ludson Green Patrick on ancestry.com (a subscription site), I found the US Census records listing him in Warren county, Ky.  I haven't had a chance to look for some of the other names, I will look tonight.

Hope this helpd you out.
