For those who are unfortunate to live outside of Texas  the Texas State Fair is starting soon.  This is the Mecca of fried foods.  From our own home town invention of corn dogs to last years favorite of deep-fried butter (tastes like a cresent roll).  Other notables are deep-fried peaches & cream and deep-fried cookie dough, Amy's favorite.  This is outside the of the other heart-health favorites such as Frito Pie.

They have released this years finalist for the deep-fried food of the fair -

One of the finalist is deep-fried beer.
