Anyone out there that is in HR??
I have a Team Research project that involves asking questions for a survey about the importance of Volunteering while unemployed.  Mainly we are wondering if it becomes a factor in hiring the perspective employee.
Thanks to anyone that is willing to answer.

I'd be glad to send it to my HR dept for comment. It's not a formal criterion for us but the owners of our company are very religious and do look for people who volunteer at their church.

Volunteering Good topic, it does tell you a little about the character of the person being interviewed.

Thanks George,
I should have the questions with in the next week or two, I will need answers back quickly because the class runs for eight weeks and last Friday night was week 1, and our first night of class.  My Team has some idea of what we are going to ask, we just need to be consistant and have some way of quantifying the answers.

I can do something similar. I have a really good relationship with the VP of HR at my co. He'll participate.
