Going out to various places lately to check them out for various reasons. The new Tiled Kilt in Grapevine, the Irish Rover Pub in Frisco and the Londoner in Mckinney.
I had an idea, I travel a lot with fun and military. What would you guys thin about we post reviews of restaurant, pubs or clubs that we visit (Scottish, Irish or otherwise) of both our home areas and ones we check out in our travels for other brothers who travel and may need a good place?
Just wondering if you guys would want other than Irish/Scottish restaurants? While out here in Coronado I've been to a couple others that are really nice.
I would like to see your reviews on any restaurant that you choose to visit. you can leave out McDonalds, Burger King, Wendy's or any of the other fast greeseburger (greese with beef flavoring) joints.
How was the Tilted Kilt in Grapevine. I heard it's a mockery of Scots heritage with a bunch of stippers running around in mini kilts. The food is supposed to be good though. It's apparently started in Vegas. I'll be out there in October so I'll check out the original and we can compare notes.
I can vouch for a cool place in the Cleveland Airport called "The Pub". I ate there on a recent business trip to Akron. They got a great Bangers and Mash along with a house version of HP sauce.
Oh, there's a cool place in Hong Kong off Nathan street I'll have to remember the name and get back to you though. There is one other there too called the Bulldog.
Sherlock's in Arlington is great!
If there are enough Tartans in our group to broaden this around the nation and globally. It might be cool to have a separate restaurant guide forum. I know if I were traveling somewhere and you guys had made a recommendation I would want to check it out.
