Hi, I'm Susa Black (Michael Black's wife), and have a Patrick ancestor, which means I married a clanmate!  We live in Oakland, across the bay from San Francisco.

Hi Susa,

Welcome to the forum, we can always use more Patricks around here.

If your Patrick ancestors came from Eastern Kentucky, you might be related to David, James, Dennis and I.  I know some of the others will say you are in bad company, but we are are a pretty good bunch of guys.

Bad, very bad!  Just kidding,  and a big welcome from me also, even though I'm not one of those Patricks.  wink.gif

Actually her Patricks came over in the late 1600s to Gravesend, New York.  From there to Perth Amboy, New Jersey.

We can always use more Patrick’s around here.

We may have to rename to this however, I wouldn't want to offend our other Lamont cousins (if that's possible to do biggrin). Maybe a better idea is to do something like what George has done with the Youngs. We could start a Patrick DNA project. We kinda already have.

So David, have you left for Scotland yet?  David?  Daaaaavid?  Good, he must be gone.

Welcome the the new LUCKEY forum for the more enlightened Lamonts among us which, by the way, includes just about everybody EXCEPT those with even the slightest connection with a Patrick or whatever they call themselves.  Remember, this is the LUCKEY forum and me, LUCKEY, is in charge.  Unless. that is, David is still around.  In that case I think George is responsible for this.  He's already in Alba so I can blame him.  Stay tuned, things should heat up soon. biggrin

Another disclaimer: Just kidding, David, James, Jim, et.al. really do like me.  Hey, put down that claymore!

Well, now wait a minute!  What about us Lamont Youngs!  I think I'm lucky to be a Lamont Young!

But I agree we need to organize against a takeover of Patricks!  wink

BTW, welcome Susa!

Let's concentrate the scheming and plotting on the real enemy here. Campbells!

I quite agree.  With the exception of MacPatrick of course.  He's one of the good guys!

Wait a second here, are we talking about the Campbells or the Patricks ? confuse

I guess it doesn't make any difference, since I have both bloodlines.  Luckey, I really appreciate the reprieve. aww

I have decided to exercise some of my moderator's privileges.

As of today the official theme song of this forum is "MacPatrickville", it's sung to the tune of "Margaritaville".

Gone, yes but not out of touch. Just did the reception lunch at the Royal Oversea's Club and getting ready for the dinner. Look how dedicated I am to check the Forum. Maybe it's more like illness!

I'll post some stuff about the happenings when I can. See you tomorrow Jim!

Also, I agree with James that we have plenty of other people to fight besides ourselves. Of course, I did just learn today that the CLS Pres is a Lamont of Couston as well! biggrin

Yes indeed Sir David, Couston. Nothing much but a place name now and a house or two but it had it's day when the Baron MacPatrick reigned there. smile biggrin
