As we have over the past decade or so, a brave band of Lamonts from the greater Washington, DC, area will be showing Lamont colors by marching in the annual Christmas Walk through Alexandria, Virginia, on the first Saturday of December, December 5. 2009, this year. We always have a brave band, although sometimes a small one, but our spirits are high and we enjoy the company of our cousins. We welcome anyone who whishes to join us and can make it to Alexandria so soon after St. Andrew's day.

Reverdy is one of 4 cousins already on the board who descend from Andrew Lamont Young. He will be a great asset to us here as he is a great student of all things Scottish.
Rev any pictures of this walk from years past? it is always great to see the blue & green tartan flocking together.

As you make your plans for the last month of 2009, do not forget that Clan Lamont always participates in the Scottish Christmas Walk in the City of Alexandria, VA. Our turnout is usually small, so we encourage greater participation by our cousins. Former President of CLSNA Phil Meikle is a real sparkplug for this event. If you can get to Alexandria on the morning of December 5, you will enjoy a fine Scottish parade and related events. On top of that, the members of the Clann in the Washington, DC, area will welcome the added support.
My apologies for my not having completed my report on the 2008 event. I promise to give this year's event better coverage.
