I am glad to see this new forum for those interested in sharing about their family and interest in our Clan Lamont. Our clan is a great way to make new friends and learn about your extended family. Communication is always a good thing to keep the interest up!

I have been searching for my Luckey line for some 12 years or better, only been able to go back as far as late 1700's in Mecklenburg Co. NC. With a limited degree I know there was a Robert Luckey that sailed from Londonderry Ireland to Philadelphia PA in the early 1700's. No paper trail exist so I am trying Family Tree Y-DNA for a different method of research.

Ken, so glad you joined us!  You were president of CLSNA when I joined.  We had a few conversations at that time about our common Luckey ancestors.  Keep us posted about your quest.

Gentleman,

Thanks for your kind welcome! I am glad to be here.

When I was an officer I always felt that communication was one of the top reasons to keep interest and participation high among our members. I am thankful that this forum has been made available to our cousins worldwide.

When I first met David Patton your current Sr. Vice President, I saw a level of interest he had in our clan that you do not see often. I hope you will continue to support David and his endeavors that he has for our Clan Lamont into the future.

I am pleased at the quantity of commissioners that have recently came on board. They are the ones on the front line.

I am always available to help whenever I can.

Yours In the Cause.

Ken

Thanks for that Ken. Coming from you that is very meaningful and encouraging. Many that you are hearing from are as dedicated as I am to the our Clan heritage and the mission to preserve it. It has been an interesting ride to bring us all together but once found it's been as if we've known each other for years.

I've said this to you privately but I was sad to see you step down as President so quickly after I joined the society. However, I know that you will always be there ready to help in any way that you can.

Thanks for coming along with us on this project.
