Hello,

So glad to have found this group!  Andrew Lamont Young is my 8th Great Grandfather on my maternal side.  My line merges into the Youngs in Augusta Co, Virginia.  Susannah Young (1750-1842) 4th GGMother married James Gilliland (1745-1810) 4th GGFather and were in Augusta Co, Virginia.  Appears her father, John Young (1729-1793) immigrated from Larne, Antrim, Northern Ireland. He married Agnes Elizabeth Davis (1733-1842) who was from August Co, Virginia.

James Gilliland and Susannah Young

Joseph Gilliland (1790-1838) m Mahala Griffith (1807-1885)

Hazel Jerome Gilliland (1830-1882) m Margaret A Haynes (1848-1880)

Alma Virginia Gilliland (1879-1969) m Daniel W Nichols (1876-1975)

 

I'm researching Lamont, Young, Gilliland, Nichols, Haynes as a few.

Looking forward to finding new connections, confirming those we have and meeting new cousins!
