My new jacket came in last week and I wore last night to the Burn's Supper in Pleasanton, CA. The jacket and Lamont weathered kilt were both purchased from Blandford Imports in Rancho Cucamonga in Southern California. The were great to work with and I got quality stuff in as timely as you can get from Scotland.

The first photo is of me in our room before dinner.

The second is of me and our friend and entertained for the evening, Peter Daldry. He is a very good singer from Glasgow.

Very nice looking, I still have not gotten my Weathered material sent too to my new kilt

That jacket and waist coat are sharp too.

Very handsome! What is the purpose of the piece which hangs from the hips in front of the groin? Thanks.

That is a sporran

The sporran (/ˈspɒrən/; Scottish Gaelic for "purse"), a traditional part of male Scottish Highland dress, is a pouch that performs the same function as pockets on the pocketless kilt. Made of leather or fur, the ornamentation of the sporran is chosen to complement the formality of dress worn with it.
