Have you thought of doing some DNA testing with Family Tree DNA?

I have thought about it. I was thinking of doing it with Ancestry but I needed to pay off a couple of bills first. So I think I'll do it around Christmas this year as a gift to myself.

If you are related on the male side then Family Tree DNA's Y-DNA test would be the best bet.

I have 2 Lamont's 2 Browns a Lamond and a couple of others on there.

Welcome to the forum. Where do you hail from? We attend gatherings all over the country as you can see. It gives you a chance to meet up with other Lamonts

Hi there. Sorry to take so long to reply. I don’t get on here very often. Originally I’m from Indianapolis.

I just got my DNA results today from AncestryDNA. I’m 69% English and Scottish. So I’m thinking the research about being Scottish is likely spot on. As for meeting other Lamont’s I’m going to Scottish fest in Indianapolis next month. I’m hoping there are a few there.
