This is what my mother has came up with. David Lamont and his wife lived in Renfrewshire. He was born in 1848.  I was wondering where do I look for more information.

first do you have access to Ancestry.com?

if so do you have the package with foreign information?

I thinks davids father may have been Robert Lamont born 1825. also in looking for Renfrewshire look for Paisley, Renfrewshire

if you have problems finding anything look using only other family trees (option in the search window) . then see if what sort of documentation they used for their data.

a lot of times this will get you over a rough spot. and if you have the foreign package you can look only for a country like Scotland. the regular package of ancestry you dont get the foreign countries.
