I may only be able to get them in black. My shirt supplier has a big show there but usually only carries black. Let me get them and you can pay later if black is okay.
As I said earlier I don't have any right now. I can check at Pleasanton next weekend. Unfortunately if Micheal only has them I have to any regular price ($25 each) and he only carries black mostly. I will get your shirts one way or another. I have to order at least 12 at a time if Micheal doesn't have them. What color? I usually only carry a navy blue and forest green.
I must post sad news. I will be unable to attend the Salado Scottish Gathering and Games. A medical emergency has come up and I will be out of town for a couple of weeks. My sincere apologies for not being able to do the Clan Tent.
Well the Salado games have come and gone,I arrived in Salado on Thursday afternoon and went out to the lake and setup my camping tent and did a little fly fishing but the wind was pretty strong.
Friday morning I got up and around and headed into Salado for the Genealogy class there museum was putting on, got some good information to help in my hunting. The class let out about 3pm so I headed to the ball fields where the clan tents were to be setup and got my new tent up but the winds were about 25 to 30 mph and my spot faced the SW so I could not put the sides on to block the wind. Some were trying to put up their banners but that was not a good idea and most took them right back down.
Friday evening I attended the Calling of the Clan which is in a very nice setting on a hill where a old college stood but about all the is left are some areas of foundation of large limestone blocks, looked very fitting. After the Calling of the Clans we went back down the hill to the Museum and had a nice supper and get together with some find food and music.
I arrived that the clan tents Saturday morning about 8 am and the wind was already up to about 20 to 25 mph and gusty, over the next few hours winds were up to 30 mph gusting to over 45 so I spent most of my time holding the tent down, did get to visit with some nice folks that came by and some even helped me hold the tent while I reset the 16 stakes I had trying to hold it down. They had a very nice parade that afternoon that I could see and hear the pipes and drums.About 4:30 I closed the tent down, grabbed some supper and went back to the lake and to my surprise my tent was still there.
Sunday morning when I arrived to the tent area 75% of the clan tens and venders had left Saturday night. After listening to the weather forecast with more winds 20-30 mph gusting to 45 and now rain I decided to pack it in while I could before the breeze picked up again. On my way back home the temp droppedfrom 67 down to 48 in about 10 miles, I did run into some light rain but nothing heavy but the wind was still there.
Here are some pictures I got to take while my neighbors the Clan Ross folks sort of held down the fort for me
Steve, thanks for stepping up to represent us. Sounds like you had a little weather to deal with. Glad little damage was done. Your experience with other calns helping is typical, you will make life long friends with other tent host as well as our clansmen.
Next year, I am sure the weather will be different(thats how I phrase it)
Thanks again

some were not so lucky, when I left Sunday morning I could see 3 piles where the unlucky one had just piled up the remains of their tents. I do hope they will come back next year.
I use those corkscrew things that you put into the lawn to hook up to a dog leash so that they can run around but not away and use ratcheting tie downs to connect the tent to the corkscrew thingies. This has worked well in 40 MPH + winds. And the kit does not weigh a lot or take up much space.
Thanks John, I saw some folks using those and they seemed to be doing ok with them. I will probably pick some up this winter along with some others items
