Tonight we are trying a bottle of Aberlour's A'Bunadh (roughly pronounced as ah Boon aug).

This is a Speyside single malt, aged in Spanish Oloroso Sherry butts and each bottle is filled from a single cask, at cask strength, not chill filtered and no water added. It is a dark, luxurious, rich whisky.

The nose is heavily Sherry and there are overtones of fruitiness and ginger. However, beware! This is 60% alcohol by volume. Not for the faint of heart. The bottle is corked and sealed not by a whimpy lead foil strip, but rather dipped in a thick, ox blood colored wax.

The price from BevMo is $69.99. If they still have a bottle next time I am in, I think that I will pick one up for the Pleasanton Games.
