Ancient vs. Modern Tartan

I own both a kilt and a filleadh beag in Lamont Ancient tartan. I realize it is a subjective question, but which do you prefer -  the ancient or the modern version of the clan's tartan?

Ihave one of each, I wear my ancient in more causual situations and the modern in more dressy or formal events. But I have also done the reverse.

I think I prefer the ancient
