A Newly Discovered Lamont ... Me
Permalink

Hello and many greetings to my newly discovered extended family!  I recently found that I was from the Lamont clan from another distant member of my family and just started to research the history of my family here in Southwestern Virginia. I am absolutely thrilled to have found this page and am looking forward to finding out much much more here about myself and my family tree.
Once I get my Patrick history in hand agian, I am hoping to find that what i Think to be true Is true indeed.
Many blessings to you and yours!
Jessica M. Duty (Patrick)  Virginia

Hi Julie

welcome to the forum, list the dates and locations for your Thomas. There are several Lambs on here and may know some details for you

Our family is a mix of Young(Lamont) and Patrick blood, my grandfather being Harlan Young and grandmother being Julia Patrick on my fathers side, both from Kentucky. My relatives actually donated the land where Hazard, KY is now! Our family has put together an extensive accumulation of history, charts and insights into the lives of our clans. If anyone is interested in obtaining this large volume let me know and I will forward it for the cost of printing and shipping..it may save you some work. I am so proud to know where we have come from and what a great clan of ancestors we rose from. I am so glad to have found this site and will be following it from now on!

Most of us Patricks here on the forum descend from the Patrick's of Eastern Kentucky.

You may very well be be related to the both Patrick group here and George's Young family.  What a combination ! no

I am frustrated,I tried rootweb, picked up a little information, dating to "buck county" Pennsylvania.I remember my grandfather telling me about buck county. Now I feel like I am at a dead end,I need to trace the family back the other way,do i need information from my father,to fill in the gaps of my grandfathers brothers/sisters/mother father, and so on.......just sort of stuck here.
