What are you doing for grilling?

Now that the weather is going toward the cooloer side around the country (dropped below 105 in Dallas finally) I would imagine that a lot more grills are firing up.  Granted I didn't slow down but it is a bit more enjoyable.

I broke out the grinder last weekend and started making up some brats.  Made a couple batches, one plain and one with fresh roasted hatch chiles.  Both used Guinuss in the mix.  Suppose to use water nut as Alton Brown says "water brings no flavor to the game."

So what's on your folks menu?

Jim

Finished my workshop recently so I'm having a BBQ on Friday for all who helped:

grilled corn on the cob
ribs
whole chickens
beef brisket
large bowls of fruit
homemade cake for dessert
drinks of your choice

Oh, and this is all over charcoal, except the cake and fruit.

It's going to be a looooong night! biggrin

MMMMMMMMMMMMM, ribs.  Dry I hope?  Memphis that is.

With the fruit try whipping together 1 jar of mashmellow fluff and 1 8oz package of cream cheese.  I know it sounds disgusting but trust me even Amy likes it.

I'm with you Jim. Total charcoal and smoke man! Gas is for whimps. I have plans to grill some brats too but alas they are from Sprouts not Drac's kitchen.

Texas Jalapeno Brats with some grilled corn on the cob. Yum.

Good thing I ate before I read this.

1) This weekend is American Legion's National Convention (I'm attending a couple of days)
2) Have to finish a final exam for my Entrepreneurship class
3) need to do some yard work after all the rain and humid weather here in Wisconsin
4) type up a paper or two for job applications, one is due before August 31 at 4:30
5) try to take care of a few more things off the "Honey-Do-List

Grilling out and having Brats...Not this weekend!! no

Enjoy you guys...and have one for me (you can fill in the "one" with what ever you pleas)
