Good evening all,

Just finished up the latest hunter.  It is S30V with afzelia lay handles.  The filework is vines and thorns filed in with black epoxy.

Jim - beautiful as usual
gotta ask  what is "afzelia lay" - a wood?

that is the first time I have seen you treat the edge of the blade. Very nice

Thanks.

Yes, afzelia lay is a wood.  I have no information about it and repeated Wiki's have no results.

I don't do much filework as my average customer doesn't go for fancy work.  A big pain to clean um what ever they were just "processing" out of all those notches.  Besides for some reason people seem to think "pretty" and useful are two different things.  Even though I use good steels and stabilized handles most people seem to think it can't be used without destroying it.

Not enough adjectives for that knife, so WOW is going to have to do for me.

Thanks guys.

Kilted Carver, I have an instructional video if you want to try. It's not that hard. Trust me, if I can do it anyone can.
