This is the second year the Lamont's gathered for dinner at the Wild Ginger Thai restraunt before going to the concert. The Mastery of Scottish Arts concert is a benefit for the Celtic Arts Foundation winter camp for young artist. World class fidlers, pipers, drummer and dancers from all around the world come to teach for two weeks. To pay for this camp, the instructors put on a concert. A truly remarkable event.

We had 30 Lamonts show up for the concert, not everybody could make the dinner.

Here is a photo of the Sutherlands and Lamonts before heading out to the concert

just the Lamonts

here is the table

Robert twisted my arm and made me drink this amber looking liquid.. I forget what he called it

I gave a gaelic toast (more of that strange amber liquid)

A h-uile latha a chi 's nach fhaic!  Agus mura faic?  Mo thogair!

roughly transulated
Every day I see you and every day I don't!...(I drink your health...) And if I don't see you?  Who cares?  I'll drink anyway!

Sandy's husband Bob. We meet them at the Gathering in Scotland. She is a Lambie

I forgot to mention only two clans got mentioned in the credits.

Sutherlands and Lamonts, we had over 60 tickets

several organizations and individuals but only 2 clans

When you go Dave...take an umbrella, I hear that they tend to get a lot of rain and mist in that city

false rumor.... we say that to keep the Cailifornians away.

And even if it did rain for 20 days straight last month, I did not.. I mean I would not have to shovel my way out of the driveway everymorning and back into the driveway everyevening.

Do you know what they call a person in Seattle carrying an umbrella?

a tourist

OK...OK...I give!  In all honesty I've always wanted to see Seattle, when I was younger and foolish confuse wanted to ride a motorcycle from Wisconsin to Seattle just to say I did it.

The one time I was in Seattle (1 day) I was on my two weeks a year duty with the Navy. Kept checking the weather forecasts before I left. Cool but not to bad so I brought long sleeves and long pants as coming from Dallas I might not be as use to cool weather. Got to San Diego (first part) and we are getting up in the 90s. Unheard of there. Get on the ship and we do a few circles out at sea in training and pull into Bremmington. And its sunny and 85 degrees! I was roasting!
