Greetings, I am Rev Lawrence Lamont from New Zealand and I am searching throughout the world for any decendants of Andrew Lamont who was a clergyman in Bellyholme Northern Ireland in 1886. Members of his family emigrated to NZ Canada and I believe North america in 1886.
Would that be Ballyholme, North Down, NI? Not that I'm a descendant of his, but just looking it up since I'd never heard of it. Just see that it's at Bangor.

Just to clarify; My brother, the Rev. Lawrence Lamont, has his information regarding our great-great-grandfather, Andrew incorrect.
Andrew Lamont of Ballyholme was NOT a clergyman; he was a builder. This is ratified by both 1901 & 1911 cencus records, and by Andrew's Will and Codicil, dated 30 May 1908. Andrew died at #5 Belfast Tce, Ballyholme on 17 November 1912. (Copies held)
Probate was granted on 6 January 1913 to the surviving named executors, James Hamilton Savage, builder, & Robert Hugh Finlay, Rent agent, both of Bangor.
In his Will Andrew leaves several properties in trust for the benefit of his their three surviving children.
Among the entrusted properties, held by Andrew "under The Farm Grant" dated 7/12/1880 from Reverand Edward A. Lyle", were:
numbers Eight, Nine & Ten Belfast Terrace, Ballyholme, to be held in Trust for his daughter, Jane Isabella McMurray, and her children.
numbers 6 & 7 Belfast Tce in trust for benefit of his daughter, Agnes Macartney, and her children.
numbers 4 & 5 Belfast Tce, along with a cottgae to the rear, in trust for his only surviving son, Robert Matthew Lamont (aka Robert Henry Matthew Lamont, then of Canada), with provision made in a Codicil dated 28/11/1910, for the benefit of Robert's wife (be she widowed), providing the income of said properties for her use up till the time of her death or remarriage. These latter proterties were held by Andrew, under lease from Robert Niicholson dated 13/06/1868
