rickdavis-ottc_new_cover.jpg

This is my first CD, Of Things To Come..., recorded in 2004, released in December 2004.  It contains only hammered dulcimer, and the tunes are from American Old-Time, Irish and Scottish traditions with one English tune thrown in 'cause it was just too cool a tune to leave out.  It also contains a few tunes of my own.  You can hear some clips of the tunes on the CD page on my website or at CDBaby (see links below).

They can be bought from me directly, via my website (www.CuteDogMusic.com/ - click on Store), or from CDBaby as a physical CD or as an mp3 download at cdbaby.com/cd/rickdavis.

Christmas CD - I am also working on a Christmas CD, hopefully, to be out before Christmas (2009).

Documentary - I have done all the fun part of interviewing people in Ireland (2003-2008), and now have to find out what I have and put together the video for the documentary on the Hammered Dulcimer in Co. Antrim, which follows the music and musical legacy of John Rea of Glenarm, Co. Antrim.  I hope this will be done in time to take it over to show in Co. Antrim, etc. next year sometime (2010).  I do have a 10 minute "preview" of sorts which I made for my final project class at Center for documentary Studies at Dike which can currently be shown for interested private groups.

Thanks, Eric.  Yes, it's been quite the adventure.

I'll be glad to show you what I know, which should take 10 minutes, maybe 5.  wink

I've only taken two lessons, myself.

Thanks for the compliment on the CD, George.
