both made and donated the knife to the Friends of Kilfinan burial vault project.
Thanks Jim !!!
The winner of the raffle was Jim Rapin of Saginaw, MI. We even drew a second ticket trying to give the knife to somebody else BUT... another of his MANY tickets was drawn. We admited defeat at that point and declared him the winner.
$213 were raised in this raffle. Jim Rapin and I will present the check to the Friends of Kilfinan when we are in Scotland. If anybody was to send an addtional donation to be included in this event, send me a PM. I will need your check fairly soon. They like to have donations in pounds, and this way we will only have one bank fee if you send me US dollars.... I promise not to spend it on whisky.
here is the knife

Hey Drac, Sorry it took awhile to let you know but I got the knife a few days ago. Wife and I are on vacation going here and there and then stopping home for a day or so in between. Got home on Tuesday and the knife was waiting for me. It is drop dead gorgeous! Looks even better in person. The plan is to go to the games in Ohio, and if we do, you can bet I'll have it with me (waving the handle under James' nose).
Any way, thanks again for making such a fine piece of art, it was well worth the price of the raffle tickets as well as what I paid to have the drawing fixed (probably shouldn't have said that).
