Dear friends at Clan Lamont, Scotland needs your help!
As you will see below we are planting a woodland to commemorate The Gathering 2009 and to be the living legacy of The Year of the Homecoming.
We are delighted to be working in partnership with them and we aim to plant a woodland that embodies everything that is good, innovative and green about Scotland!
Ultimately we would like every Scot whever they are in the world to take a positive action and plant at least one tree! Any help that you can give us to achieve these aims would be very much appreciated. If you could, for example forward this email to the rest of your members or put something up on your website - all would be much appreciated.
We look forward to your support whether it is to help us spread the word to your clan or simply to plant a few trees and to get your name on our on-site honours board. If you would like to discuss any ideas then feel free to drop me an email. In the meantime, have a glance at the email below and click through to the website: www.teaghlachwood.com
Many thanks for your support,
Angus Crabbie

I contacted Angus and discussed the project and their ambitions. The goal is to restore Scotland's landscape back to it's original woodland state and to help combat Global Warming. The website is beautifully done and I encourage you to take some time to check it out.
We have purchased a "10 Tree Package" as the Clan Lamont Society of North America. Technically, this means you have already donated to the cause through your support of the society. However, should you decide to make an additional donation personally The Teaghlach Wood project would be grateful. If you know of anyone outside our membership or in other clans that may want to help please forward this e-mail.
