January 2009 - Scotland Magazine - Clan Lamont

In the January 2009 Edition of Scotland Magazine there is a two page history of Clan Lamont written by James Irvine Robertson.  It is a new recap of Lamont history.  I found several new facts in the article I wasn't aware of.  It does present some new material on the Lamont's various periods of co-operation and non-cooperation with Clan Campbell that we don't usually see in the various histories that have been repeatedly printed through the years and a short account of the Dunoon Massacre.

You can find the magazine at Barnes and Noble.

I looked online and found they have the magazine online. I got all excited until I found it needs a paid subscription

I might do that as I saw several articles that looked interesting. I will compare the price online to hard copy

thanks Jim

Thank you Jim, I was just at Barnes and Noble yesterday but this will merit a return trip.  Articles about our clan are few and far between.
