I would love to hear other thoughts on how these names became associated with Clan Lamont. We should start a thread for each sept and theories and explnations arise.

On this very ancient post of the Lamont Central Forum () I have a note for everyone interested in Septs.
On the new updated http://www.clsna.us/ website I am currently putting together a complete Cadet and Sept family section for researchers and other interested parties. This will include information from a variety of sources starting with Hector McKechnie's book The Lamont Clan 1235-1935. It will then cover the migration of the Lamont families to other parts of the world where we will pick up with family history's submitted and authorized by us, the members.
I feel we are past due in providing this information to our extended family.
If you have any interest in participating in this by submitting your family information please let me know. If it is already available on another site we can link it in.

I would be interested in participating, I have some documents, as well as at least one book (more exist but I don't have possession of them, as they are scattered in the family) I am connected to the Lamont Clan via the Burden (as I am James Burden) I will start gathering what information I have over the next few weeks.

I have finally found my clan! My mom's name is McLemee. Have been unable to find anything under that spelling. Met the man in charge of the Lamont Clan tent in Las Vegas by chance. He looked thru his book and found the spelling of the name MacLammie. I said thats it. After all these years. Looks like my decendents are from your clan. As I have learned we were always on the wrong side of any war. sounds like my family. Anyone out there that is a MacLammie let me know.
