The Kilt I am wearing in my avatar is an 9 yd, 16 oz. Ancient Lamont kilt made by Lochcarron.  The kilt , hose, tie and argyll jacket were purchased from the Scotish Tartans Museum in Franklin NC.  All of their merchandise is top quality and the service is top notch.

Their e-mail address is www.scottishtartans.org.

Jim, did you purchase your Lamont ancient directly from Lochcarron or another kilt maker?  The reason I ask is that I need, OK, want a 16oz. Lamont ancient.  I already have a 160z. box pleat in Lamont Modern from Matt Newsome so my decision is another box pleat in Lamont Ancient from Matt or a knife pleat from another source.  confuse

Jim,

I purchased this Lochcarron Kilt from Matt Newsome, I went up to the museum a few years back and him him measure me for the kilt.

You'll be very happy with a Lochcarron Kilt, they are top quality.  Matt can handle all of your kilt wants and desires.
