Hello Central Region!

Hi folks!

I'm Lisa from Chicago, IL and am one of the CLSNA Central Region Directors -- brand new, in fact.

Please reply to say hello and share what city/state you're located in.

If you plan to attend any Highland Games or gatherings this year (or just know of one), dates and locations would be much appreciated, along with a website link if you have one. The Chicago-area Scottish Festival and Highland Games will be held on June 20-21,2014 and are sponsored by the Chicago Scots organization.

Be well!

Lisa

Hello Lisa, I am Steve from the Dallas/Ft. Worth TX area.

I will be hosting a tent at the Arlington and Salado Texas festivals this year, maybe even a few more I am looking at.

Thanks, Tom...and will do! :)

Hello Steve! Love to hear that you're hosting tents. If you have links to the festivals themselves, I'd love to post them here and on the Facebook group.

Lisa

Hi Lisa,

I’m Brian from Okemos Michigan (just east of East Lansing).  I don’t know about any Highland games but I’m planning on attending Scottish Fest in Indianapolis next month.

Welcome Brian, now if it gets to cold in Indianapolis you can come down to Texas.

I will be hosting a tent in October at Kerrville, Texas and another in Salado, Texas in November smile

The games and festivals are always fun.

I'm a new member to the forums and still trying to confirm a connection to Lamont (though it's looking extremely likely). Anyway, my family and I just relocated to Houston from Arlington, TX.

Before TX, we were in Cincinnati.

If there are any events that are local, I'd love to attend.

Welcome to the Clan, Have you done any DNA testing or thought about it?  Family Tree DNA just announced its Holiday sale starting today.  If you are interested in this let me know.

I wish you would have posted this last week, last week Nov 11, 12 and 13 I was at Salado Texas hosting the clan tent there.  That was the last one of the year, the first one next year will be in Dallas at the North Texas Irish Festival March 2nd - 4th.  The one after that is at Sherman Texas, March 24th, this one is only 1 day.

Have you joined the Clan Lamont Society of North America yet?

http://www.clsna.us/join.html

By doing so will add you to the mailing list.
