I've done some research and this is what I've found so far.

Thomas H Patrick born 1896 in Russell County, VA, married Ida May. He is my GGGrandfather. He is the son of
William Patrick born 1835 or 37 in Russell county VA, from his second wife Mary J. (married in 1891) Some of his siblings from this marrage were Sally Patrick and Ross Patrick. His first wife was Nancy ? born 1830. Her children were Nancy, Jane Adsey, John and Dunbar. There may be others from both marrages.William is the son of
John S. Patrick, born 1816 in Russell county VA, married to Susan (Susanna) Taylor. Son of
William Patrick, born around 1741 in Lancaster, Pa. Married Elizabeth Ann (Stephans?)
John S. Patrick had 9 siblings. Brothers, Hezekiah Patrick married Rachael Dennison, William Patrick married Susanna Addison, Greenberry Patrick married Eliza J. Taylor, Isaac Patrick married Jane Keen, Henry S. Patrick married Cynthia Gandee, and James Patrick and shows no marrage. Sisters, Amelia (Millia) Patrick married Stephen Taylor, Elizabeth Patrick married Levi H Hunt, Nancy Patrick married William Henderson.
John S. Patrick is the son of William Patrick, born 1712 in Edinburgh, Scothland married Joanne Huges and immigrated to Chester, PA in 1729. (best I can tell)
William Patrick is the son of Robert Patrick, married to Mary Campbell and were of Edinburgh.
This is the farthest I have managed to get at this time.  I have found the connection with a line from John S. Patrick and his Brother Hezekiah, but nothing further at this time. I am new at this, so if you find errors please let me know.

Jessica,

Take a look at the third post on the thread "Patrick Family Sept" and see if your family ties into this line, it looks like it does.

Hope this helps you out.

A question, is William actually the son of Hugh Patrick and Mary Campbell ?  Take a look at the at the thread I mentioned above and see if this makes sense to you.

Sorry it has taken me so long to get back to all this, my internet access is limited to the library at the moment.

William Patrick (1835) was the son of John Shephard Patrick who was born in Russell County Virginia. Williams children were: Hezekiah, John, Isaach, William, Nancy, Henry, Greenberry, James, Amelia (Millia) and Elizabeth.
I have not traced any other family lines except the straight line of the Patricks to Robert Patrick, born in Edinborgh, Scottland. but It looks like this is a different line than the one in the other post with the John Patrick from Tazewell County.  It seems that my family stayed in Russell county from John Patrick (1815-16) until now (Over 175 years! wow.)
I'm not sure if this clarifies anything, I'm just getting my feet wet with all this, so I appologize in advance.

There are so many similar names!

I have a William Patrick b. 1712 in Edinburgh, Scotland, married to Joanne Hughes. He Immigrated to Chester, PA in 1729, but I don't currently know on what ship. His Father was Robert Patrick of Edinburgh, Scotland and he married Mary Campbell.

I am stuck on Hezekiah Patrick b 1760, married to Mary (Harrell?). I have no children, only the direct line to Robert (mentioned above). I'll try rootsweb now.

Great work Jessica,

I'm curious to see how all of these lines tie together.  Greenberry is a given name that appears several tims in various Patrick family lines.  Everytime I see the name I wonder where it came from.

Keep up the good work, sometimes it is slow going. You are making progress.
