Attached is a heirloom passed down through the White family. It origins are a mystery to it's owner Charlcie White and she is hoping that someone in our Clan might recognize it. I don't think that's likely but I have a few resources that can look at it and maybe some of you might too.

It appears to be stamped copper looking at the back. It has two welded tabs in the rear that looks like you crimp it down to fabric.

If anybody comes across any info it will be greatly appreciated.

Contacted my wife on this. While her specialty is history it isn’t heraldry. Granted you can’t study her favorite era without it. I also enjoy symbology but again while it overlaps heraldry it isn’t my specialty either.

The first thing is from the disruption my wife would guess that it was probably a ornament on a strip of cloth such as a garter. From the overall look she would give a very hesitant guess of 1400’s.

As for the symbols the lion rampant is normally English royalty and the rose below is an English rose but doesn’t look to be a Tudor rose. One picture the symbols look to be crosses and in the other looks like fluer de le’s. Fluer de le’s are part of Frech royalty normally but there was intermarriages so that may not mean anything.

One thing that jumps out at me is that the right rear paw seems to be stepping on a block of some form. Normally the lion is free floating in heraldry. Makes me wonder is this the Stone of Scone?

I don’t see anything in the banners that jumps out to me as belonging to anything specific but like I said heraldry is not my specialty. You might want to contact a place like Oxford. They have been helpful when I have been doing research in the past.
