As many of you know Sir Norman Lamont of Knockdow lived about half his time in Trinidad on family plantations started by John Lamont of Benmore his great uncle in the early 1800's. Norman died there being gored by his bull in 1949.

I got a surprise email from Naseema Hoey, former Trinidad resident. Naseema now lives in the UK, she was Archaeology graduate working with the Archaeology Centre in Trinidad when she took these photos of theses graves in 2005

John Lamont of Benmore and his brother Boyden in the 19th century and Sir Norman in the 20th century

it is very overgrown, looks like we need to take a road trip. Maybe in Jan or Feb when it is freezing here.

I do what I can do (he says in a self-sacrificing tone).  Besides, I demand part of my pay package to be adult type drinks on the beach every day at sunset.

Impressive!  Didn't know that that's how Sir Norman met his demise.
