What is the Lamont Traveling Plaque?

Clan Lamont NA Traveling Plaque

Eric Herring (Kilted Carver) has graciously carved us a very nice plaque that will travel around the world visiting Lamont members of the forum.  Our clan is spread very far and wide with little opportunity to see each other in person. This plaque will unite us in spirit as it makes it’s way from home to home.

The first trip of the plaque was to The Gathering in Edinburgh and various other locations in Scotland.

The game plan for the plaque is simple.

1 Send me an email or PM asking to be on the waiting list. Oldhiker50@aol.com

A waiting list will be on forum and updated frequently

2 Wait patiently for your turn

3 When you get the plaque, take a photo(s) of the plaque with you at some important/exciting place or event. A roller coaster ride, a raid on the local Campbells, a visit with grandchildren, a special place in your town or home, or what ever you think we would like to see.

4 Record your name, date, location, & event on the log that will travel with it.

5 Post the photos and story to the forum about your visit with the plaque own your own separate thread.

6 After you finish with the plaque, you are responsible to send it to the next person on the list.

7 I will log the miles the plaque travels.

The plaque is getting some serious miles and some great sites visited. It will be interesting to see how far and how many members it can visit by its birthday next summer. Here is the the list of its journeys and the waiting list.  If you want the plaque for this summer it is time to get on the list. Please take some interesting photos

Can we get an update on total miles, perhaps, and all the wonderful places Woody has visited. I know he helped blow up the balloons in Albuquerque and has had some other exciting times. Now he's in VA ready for the end of the year celebration in Portsmouth, VA
