Its not really kilt related, or even Scottish/Irish. I am just happy with how she is coming along.

I am beginning the finishing stages but I just had to post these, I am really digging this one.

But first a little history on the place from where the design came from:

The carving is of a totem pole that was carved here in 1978 by a master totem carver named Walter Harris. The top has a large bear munching on a salmon, the center has a tranquil raven, and on the bottom is a figure of the legendary Ya-l, the founder of the Kispiox people.
And now the cane:

 The cane is white ash and the light color is the natural shade of the wood. I scorched the surface of the cane with a torch to raise the grain and then used a dark stain on the carving to make it stand out from the light wood, I just have a couple more things and then she will be done.
